Program Description

At Symmetry Jiu-Jitsu, our Competition Team mission is to foster champions not only in skill but in character. We believe in the greatness of developing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills alongside instilling values of integrity, teamwork, and personal growth. We recognize that training hard is fundamental, in fostering respect, resilience, and a passion for continuous improvement within our team.


REQUIREMENTS:

Complete the Application Process

Minimum 8 years of age.

2 stripe white belt or higher

Must attend 2 classes/week & Saturdays prior to comps

Team Uniform Required

Team Training - Journaling, Nutrition, Fitness, Mind Prep

Team Events - Scholarship/Fundraising, Community Service, Social Fun!

Competition Team Code of Conduct for Parents

  • Respectful Engagement:

    • Treat all opponents, parents, coaches, and officials with courtesy and respect both inside and outside the competition setting.
    • Encourage your child to shake the hand of their opponent, the referee, and their opponent's coach after each match, fostering a culture of respect and acknowledging their collective efforts and sportsmanship.

  • Adherence to Guidelines:

    • Familiarize yourselves with and abide by the rules and regulations of every competition, respecting the authority of referees and officials.

  • Respect for Coaching Staff:

    • Demonstrate respect for our coaching staff, acknowledging their expertise and adhering to their guidance.
    • Encourage your child to shake the hand of their opponent's coach after each match, recognizing the vital role coaches play in the development of Jiu-Jitsu athletes.

  • Promoting Positive Team Dynamics:

    • Foster a positive and cohesive team spirit by supporting and encouraging all team members and their families.
    • Acknowledge that your actions reflect on the entire Symmetry Jiu-Jitsu Competition Team, striving to be exemplary representatives of our shared values.

    • In both victory and defeat, model humility, graciousness, and respect for opponents and their families.
